Last Saturday, June 22, Corretta hit the stage at a new DTLA venue dubbed The House Of Machines.
If you’ve ever envisioned what Rock n Roll is, The House of Machines is in that image. Bikes, coffee, a bar, rugged yet clean and elegant design. It was the perfect first venue for Corretta to play their 26- minute set including originals such as Last Dance, Darkwater, Daydream and Adieu.
The evening’s occasion was actually a new-single release party for headliner, Oriah, and their new song “You Get What You Give”. A wonderful gift for us to be able to share the stage with them. Singer Viktorya and guitarist Tim are wonderful people.
On the same bill were good friends of Corretta, Spectre Jones. “A blissful blend of genuine character and musicianship orchestrated by Jake Williams and Wilson Howard. Their aural image is quite unique.” - Jordan Seah
The night was indeed a present wrapped with a bow. With several long rehearsals, their tightness and stage presence came through spectacularly. Take a look at some photographs below to see how the night was documented.
